Disenchantment Part III

Well, the fit has really hit the shan. Turns out there was such dissension and turmoil with the mineral make-up company I've been blogging about that they have gone on an indefinite hiatus to sort their business out. In the meantime, they have said if you've made any purchases, even if it was 5 minutes ago, to file a dispute with PayPal.

Seems like it would be easier to just go through and issue refunds. But what happens if your dispute is over 45 days old or isn't listed as paying for "goods" or "services" since it was paid with via the iPhone app for PayPal? Well, you can put in a request for an out of pocket refund which you may or may not get.

And I am annoyed because I emailed the owner about that craptastic bag I got that was supposed to make up for the multiple collections I never received and here is the reply I got:

"I'm sorry you are disappointed. We have revamped our company policies and procedures, so we hope we never run into this situation again. XOXO"

WTF is that? Like I'm going to give an opportunity for this to happen again? Especially now that she isn't even bothering to fulfill paid orders and just says "file a dispute"?

Ugh, I am very frustrated and upset. I know it seems like a no-win situation for the vendor. She's allegedly trying to improve her business, but people are questioning her products and practices. There are people wanting their orders and then there are people not wanting what may or may not be safe for their eyes. Cutting people off when they are expecting packages for Christmas is just another wrong to add to the pile. Not fulfilling orders is yet another one to add on. But sticking your head in the sand and waiting for it to pass is simply unacceptable.

So, I can sit here and firmly declare that I do not endorse Glittersniffer Cosmetics in any way. Should the company ever regroup, I would still advise you to steer clear.

What to say here? This is incredible. She has hundreds of dollars from people who have no product. I personally have a box full of pigments that are not safe for any cosmetic use, yet they even went out in her "new all-fda approved" line (yet another untruth).

Earlier today she asked what we wanted from her. I want my money back. I want my peace of mind. I want this insanity out of my life. I want her to stop emailing and calling me every few days, asking me how she can fix these problems. Honestly. If she doesn't know by now....

I can't believe it's all come down to this and she even took down the fan page when it should have been left up so people can know what's happening. I ordered from the black Friday sale and it still isn't here since the tracking number never updated from Nov. 30th, I assume that she never even mailed it out to begin with because she was so swarmed with orders that she couldn't fill. She's messed up on all my orders... stuff missing, tons of half filled pots and she hasn't done anything to fix my previous orders from October as she claimed she would! Now I'm afraid that I won't get my refund as she probably won't have enough money to refund everyone.

OK, I have nothing to do with this situation, other than reading your posts here, but I just have to say if you are already being looked at as an unprofessional company with shaky practices, why in the world would you sign a piece of customer correspondence with "XOXO?" Really? I doubt anyone who has been on the crap end of their stick wants hugs and kisses...

I know Stacie, right!?!? It's like "I got something you can kiss!" I was livid!

I fully agree with your non-endorsment, Lela is an awful businesswoman and should never have been selling anything at all. She's also still lying to everyone with a straight face. She keeps telling people she didn't "know" they weren't FDA approved, and even said that one of her pinks just hit the non-approved list 21/12/10, which is bull as the FDA has EVERYTHING on the unapproved-list until proven safe, not the other way around... :/
